Our Automatic Clipper Blade Sharpening System
Our specialised automatic sharpening machine is designed specifically for professional clipper blade sharpening.
The system precisely controls the blade and comb throughout the sharpening process, maintaining correct alignment and even pressure to produce a consistent hollow grind.
Both the cutter and comb are sharpened accurately while removing only the minimum amount of metal necessary, helping extend the working life of your blades.
Combined with our 17-step sharpening process, every blade is carefully set, tensioned and test cut before being returned to you.

Our 17-Step Professional Clipper Blade Sharpening Process
- Check for damage & blade/comb tension & alignment
- Clippers are cleaned in our Ultra Sonic machine at 60 degrees for 16 minutes
- We then disassemble and remove residue hair, oil & grit
- Blades & Combs are sharpened on our Shop Machine specifically designed for hollow grinding
- Blades and combs are rubbed on a steel base to ascertain sharpened lines are correct
- Cutter & Comb Blades are rubbed on a steel block to check Rub-Pattern
- Both Blade and comb are carefully deburred both edges on stainless steel & brass brush removing lose metal fibers
- We then de-magnetize the blades & combs.
- Blades are left to soak in our alcohol solution before final clean
- Check Spring for parallel alignment
- The spring tension is adjusted
- A new plastic glide is placed on the spring
- The socket is crimped in our socket guide to ensure it’s the correct dimension
- We reassemble and thoroughly oil all moving parts
- Test blade/comb pressure with our tension gauge.
- Every blade is test cut to ensure they are perfect.
- Sets are then placed in a Cellophane bag which will not create moisture & rust.
